Sad and Untimely demise of Rakesh Rajan

“He who has gone, so we but cherish his memory, abides with us, more potent, nay, more present, than the living man.” - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Rakesh Rajan has passed away on last friday morning. Rakesh was a friend, philosopher, and guide to everyone around him and his untimely passing will leave a void. Rakesh’s contribution to the Microsoft Community has exemplified over the years. The passion for work and technology he demonstrated was legendary. Rakesh was recognized by Microsoft, when they conferred him with the title of Most Valuable Professional. Rakesh also figures in the MSDN India Hall of Fame list. Rakesh was a regular contributor to public forums. Reviewing and authoring books was a natural extension to his endless pursuits, and he did so by teaming up with Apress publications. His first endeavor was a technical review, the success of which saw him penning his own book - Visual C# 2005 Recipes: A Problem-Solution Approach. When he passed away, all of a sudden a big void has came into existense in our life as well as mind… We will miss our dearest Undapps forever. On this occassion only we could do is to pray for his soul… May his soul rest in peace…
